New Construction Inspections

Buying a newly constructed home is both an exciting and daunting experience. Turning multiple components and complex systems into a new home is a challenge. A High Tech New Construction Inspection helps ensure it’s also a job well done!

The allure of buying a newly constructed home or working with an architect on a custom home, promises a pristine, carefree home. No repairs, just settle in! Or does it? Unfortunately, new houses are not perfect. Multiple sub-contractors, damaged or defective materials, adverse weather, complex systems, and delays are just a few of the issues that builders have to deal with. Even with the best builders, the truth is that building a new home is not problem free. Fortunately, High Tech Inspections Can Help!

Our experienced inspectors use the latest equipment to provide a detailed report. We are here to help ensure you can just settle in.

About The Process:

  • The appointment should be at least a few days before your final walkthrough
  • High Tech’s Inspectors are licensed, fully insured, and ready to provide our credentials to your builder
  • Ideally, all appliances and utilities should be fully installed and on
  • On the day of the inspection, we meet the project manager and buyer (if attending) to go over areas of concern
  • During the inspection, we explain how systems operate and point out main shut-offs and breakers
  • With the builder’s permission, we use blue painter’s tape to mark areas that need more attention
  • Afterward a verbal run-down is followed with a detailed and easy to share PDF report
  • High Tech is available (for a small fee) to come back for re-inspections as needed
  • One year warranty inspections are suggested at about 11 months
